Recording a story for a radio was such a gratifying experience. It was a very different experience as compared to telling stories to an audience. I do not have any experience in voice over. Nevertheless, I wanted to try. I had a story - thanks to a book gifted to me by Balakrishnan Raghavan. A book that has mythological stories about the flowering trees of India. And one particular story about Parijata had caught my attention. It was a perfect opportunity to let that story out. I had no idea about how to go about recording. The story recorded on my phone sounded terrible. It had to be done professionally. And when I reached out to friends, Malini Gowrishankar immediately agreed to help me with it. She not only gave me access to her space but also taught me how to edit the recorded story. I am very grateful. Thank you Shanthini Venugopal for this radio space and your feedback.
ReplyDeleteYou can listen to my story here. It is from 16.48 to 23.15 minutes. There are other stories and music as well - do listen to the whole episode. Please reach out to The Jumping JellyBeans for sending your audio story for StoryTime. All the best Shanthini for all future episodes.
